Student ends life
(Siasat News): An intermediate student. allegedly owing to poor performance in exam, set himself ablaze in Falaknuma.

The student S Qutubuddin, 19, succumbed to his burn injuries. According to Falaknuma sub-inspector Brahma Murari, the victim who resided in Madina colony, returned home on Saturday after finishing his inter first year exam.

However, when the result declared, he found himself failed and was very depressed. He had heated argument with his mother too and later set himself ablaze.

Further investigations are on.

Groom ran away with money, later returns

(Siasat News): In a bizarre case a bridegroom who allegedly ran away with the dowry hours before his marriage leading to tension in Borabanda on Sunday, resurfaced on by the evening.

The bride’s family had approached the police alleging that the groom had gone absconding with more than Rs. 1 lakh. However, before the cops could take any action, the groom Naresh, 27, resident of Raju Colony, resurfaced and returned the money.

The marriage was cancelled and the bride’s parents withdrawn the case. As per the details, Naresh’s marriage was scheduled at 9 am on Sunday with a girl from Shivajinagar.

On Saturday, he told his parents that he is going to invite one of his friends personally and had left home but did not come back till Sunday evening.

According to Naresh, he was in love with someone else but his parents were forcing him to marry this girl. Santhanagar police did not register a case as the bridegroom had returned the money.

Protest against infant’s death at Niloufer

(Siasat News): Tension mounted outside Niloufer Hospital for a while on Sunday after the death of a four-day-old baby boy admitted in the hospital for respiratory failure.

Parents and relatives of the deceased infant staged a dharna. The couple Lavanya and Jagan from Jagathgirigutta brought the infant to Niloufer Hospital after the child developed the breathing problems and was kept in incubator.

The RMO Sridevi said that the child was brought in very critical condition. Doctors tried their level best to save his life but the treatment was not possible at that stage.

Later, the infant died and parents started to protest against the death and not listening to anyone.

However, no formal complaint was registered by the parents.
