Husband brutally kills wife, arrested

(Siasat News): A man brutally murdered his wife in Balanagar. The killer husband is identified as Qasim, who killed his 40-year-old wife Mahrunnisa.

However, when he was trying to escape from the scene. People of the locality chased and caught him and later handed over to Balanagar police.

In the meantime, inspector Balanagar Mr. Bhikshpati said that Qasim used to live with his family members at Nehru Nagar in Balanagar. He was suspicious about the fidelity of his wife and used to harass her over this.

Yesterday, he attacked his wife with ceiling fan and killed her instantly. Qasim is a watchman by profession whereas Mahrunnisa has been working in a chocolate factory. Further investigations are on.

Treasure hunt fraud, one arrested

(Siasat News): The CCS police of Central Crime Station is successful in arresting an inter-state conman who used to deceive people in the name of treasure hunt.

Dy. Commissioner police CCS Mr. Avinsah Mohnaty described the modus operandi of the accused Waheed Khan, 26, hailed from Rajasthan. He used to contact people on their mobile phones and posed as a farmer to inform them about the finding of treasure during scaffolding of the land and claimed that gold pieces of ancient period are found.

Not only this, he used to offer the sale of the same gold pieces in reduced prices.In the meantime, the city’s jewellers M/s Abid and Quadri who used to travel to Odisha in connection with their business.

Waheed Khan and his gang somehow cheated both the jewellers by claiming the finding of antique gold pieces and sold them to the duo in Rs. 5,60,000 at Mathura in UP.

The jewellers soon realized that they were cheated and lodged a complaint with the police that immediately came into action and went to UP and Rajasthan states to nab the notorious ‘Tatlu Baji Gang.’
