Sr. Div. Rly Manager caught red-handed

Hyderabad, June 26 (Siasat News): CBI has arrested a senior railway divisional manager for his corrupt practices and accepting bribe.

Lakhs of rupees, one kilo gold ornaments and documents pertaining to various properties seized from his possession.

According to the details, under the supervision of the DIG of CBI (Hyderabad zone) M/s V V Lakshmi Narayana and SPS Venkatesh, DSP R M Khan, had arrested Mr. V Gopal Reddy, senior div. Manager while he was accepting a bribe of Rs. 10,000 from a contractor.

This led the police team to the residence of the Manager and during the raid, police recovered Rs. 70,00,000 lakh cash and one kilo gold.

Apart from this, several bank lockers revealed that the Manager had bought various properties worth lakhs of rupees. Further investigations are on.

Youth’s dead body found

Hyderabad, June 26 (Siasat News): The dead body of a 29-year-old youth was found from Hayathnagar in suspicious circumstances. He was identified as S Ramesh.

According to the police, Ramesh’s dead body was found in a suspicious manner at Abdullahpurmet. The accused was said to be a tailor.

It is said that Ramesh left the house for work as usual but did not return. And later his dead body was found.

While preparing panchnama, police asserted that Ramesh had allegedly consumed poison and committed suicide. Police Hayathnagar has registered a case and further investigations are on.

Betting don arrested

Hyderabad, June 26 (Siasat News): A network of betting was unearthed and the don of the network and his agents are arrested while the father of the don is said to be at large.

DCP task force Ravindranath Babu said that 27-year-old G Chakravorthy, resident of Erragadda is the don of the said network and used to run the racket along with his father.

He recruited Rajesh Agarwal, 38, of Sanathnagar, Murlidhar Sharma, 54, of Shivrampally, Ramanlal, 60, of Mangalhaat and Rameshchand, 46, of Husseini Alam as his agents.

They used to accept gambling betting. According to the DCP, to mislead the police, Chakravorthy had displayed a monogram of advocate on his vehicle.

Police seized a sum of Rs. 61,000 cash, chits of betting, 60 cell phones and a bike. Further investigations are on.

Infant’s body found

Hyderabad, June 26 (Siasat News): A rag picker girl Ellamma found the body of a new born in a garbage dump near Chandanagar while she was picking rags and other wastes from the dump.

Realizing her social responsibility, she immediately informed the police and later, police shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital mortuary.
