Boy steals gold and cash

Hyderabad, May 26 (Siasat News): An unidentified boy stole a bag containing 1.5 kg of gold and Rs. 1.5 lakh in cash belonging to a trader at Patel market.

The victim was identified as Malleshwar Rao, a goldsmith from Guntur. According to the market police, Mr. Malleshwar Rao came to the city on Tuesday to collect the money from jewellery shops.

At 9.45 pm he went to Saibaba jewellery shop. Since he got a call, he kept the bag on the ground to attend it.

After a while, he returned to the spot and noticed the bag missing. The CCTV cameras installed in the shop spotted a 15-year-old boy taking away the bag.

Drunk driver kills three

Hyderabad, May 26 (Siasat News): A drunken trader rammed his car into a two wheeler killing three members of a family and injuring another at the Moinabad police station limits here on Monday night.

The victims were identified as T Yadiah, 45, his wife T Laxmi, 42 and their son Srinath, 13, all residents of Amdapur.

The couple’s elder son, Srikanth, 16, escaped with a fracture. Further investigations are on.

Fear of father’s arrest led to suicide

Hyderabad, May 26 (Siasat News): A 12-year-old boy committed suicide by setting himself ablaze fearing that his father would be arrested and jailed by the police.

Syed Osman, a class III student, was the son of Syed Mansoor who used to get drunk and beat his wife everyday.

On Sunday, the couple had a tiff, and a local TD leader, Saleem sent one Amjad to settle the issue. Amjad took Mansoor outside and threatened to take to the police.

Terrified by all this, Osman doused his body with kerosene and set himself ablaze.

Neighbours shifted him to Osmania General Hospital but he died during the treatment.
