Bank robbery foiled, one arrested
(Siasat News): An attempt to loot a bank in Kohir was foiled by police. In the meantime, a Ramulu, DSP, Bhainsa, said that the robber was arrested within 24 hours when an attempt by him to loot the bank was foiled.

In this connection a police jawan Praveen showed immense sense of responsibility after getting an alert cal from his superiors. The culprit is the native of Kohir and after grilling, he admitted having committed the crime.

A case has been registered and constable Praveen was suitably rewarded for his alertness.

Attempt to sell 3-month-old

(Siasat News): Police has arrested two couples in connection with allegedly selling a 3-month old baby in Chilkalguda. Police said that the mother of the child Shalini sold the baby in Rs. 15,000 to a woman Bhavani.

However, after few days, Shalini demanded more money from Bhavani that was refused. Shalini was also a coy woman. She immediately went to the police and lodged a complaint that her baby was kidnapped.

Inspector Srinivasulu later said that after preliminary investigations, it was revealed that Shalini had lodged a fake complaint. After that a new case was registered against Shalini and her husband Sai Kumar.

Bhavani and her husband Raju were also arrested and the child was sent to rescue home.

Auto goes turtle, driver dead

(Siasat News): An auto driver died when the vehicle went turtle. As per the details, A Shankariah Goud, 48, resident of Chandraguda, Maheshwaram Mandal left home for Hyderabad early in the morning.

When he reached Golapally, a speeding vehicle came from opposite direction and Goud could not see anything as the headlights of the vehicle were on, resulting his auto rickshaw going turtle in which he sustained severe injuries that proved fatal.

Shamshabad rural ASI Chandraiah has registered a case and the dead body of the auto driver was handed over to the relatives after post mortem.
