Man robs woman

Hyderabad, April 26 (Siasat News): A man, under the pretext of renting a portion of the house, stole the gold ornaments from a house wife at Hanumanpet under the Neredmet police station limits.

According to police, an unidentified person approached the house of Mr. Venkatesh and Ms Kala seeking a portion on rent from them. The stranger stole a four tola gold chain and a ring from them.

Neredmet police have registered a case and investigations are on.

SI caught red-handed

Hyderabad, April 26 (Siesta News): The sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau arrested a sub-inspector of police of Cyberabad while he was accepting a bribe of Rs. 7000 for not arresting the accused in a dowry harassment case.

 T Puroshottam Rao, the Jeedimetla SI, was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe. A tainted amount of Rs. 7000 was recovered from his pocket.

Tests on his fingers as well as the inner lining of his pocket produced a positive result.
