Neighbour’s harassment led woman to suicide

(Siasat News): The on-going electricity crisis has become the cause of quarrels and disputes. In a similar incident, an aged woman committed suicide as she was constantly harassed by her neighbour for not providing water due to the cut in electricity supply.

This incident occurred in Narsingi police station limits under Cyberabad Police Commissionerate. The name of the deceased was Durga, 53, who consumed some unidentified pesticide.

As per the details, a man in the neighbourhood of Durga, was constructing his house and asked Durga and her husband Koteshwara Rao to help him out by supplying electricity and water that was denied by the duo.

According to police, the said man had sought their help 10 months ago and now the construction work of his house is completed.

However, he started harassing the duo ever since. Durga was fed up of the constant harassment and took the extreme step. Police has registered a case.

Fake certificates racket: Investigation by CBCID sought

(Siasat News): Telangana Electricity Employees Association urged the state government to conduct the CBCID investgation to unearth the fake certificates racket that was active in providing fake ITI, EPF, ESI and local residents certificates for the recruitment of the posts of Junior Plant Attendant in APGenco.

President of the association Mr. Kishan Singh Thakur, while speaking to the media, demanded that the state government should register criminal cases against the officials and union leaders allegedly involved in the racket failing which, the association would start an agitation on the basis of Gandhi’s ideologies.

Constable snatches mangalsutra, held

(Siasat News): In the posh locality of the city Jubilee Hills, people saw the other side of a cop’s character where he was caught red-handed as he was involved in theft.

The people of the locality handed him over to the police. Initially, the police tried toe hush-hush the matter but later admitted that the constable himself was involved in theft and handed over to judicial custody.

According to details, Subba Rao, 44, head constable, was passing from Sharada Nagar in Jubilee Hills. He noticed a house where there was a board reading ‘To-Let’ where a 50-year-old woman Amalamma was residing.

Subba Rao stopped his vehicle and enquired about the monthly rent. In the meantime, taking advantage of the situation, he snatched the mangalsutra of the old lady.

When she raised alarm, people of the locality gathered there and started chasing Subba Rao who was on the run.

Ultimately, he was caught and handed over to Jubilee Hills police. Further investigations are on.
