Rs. 5 lakh stolen from ATM
(Siasat News): A notorious but young thief stole Rs. Five lakhs from the ATM of Axis bank in Saifabad police station limits. Police has released a photograph of the thief and appealed the general public to provide vital information about the thief to the police.
As per the details, the thief entered the ATM cabin of Axis Bank situated opposite Banjara Function Hall, Masab Tank.
He broke open the machine and stole Rs. 5 lakhs though Rs. 21 lakhs were there in the machine. The thief had cut off the wires of the CCTV cameras before committing the crime.
Then too, police got coverage of the theft and as per the footage, the photograph is released. Further investigations are on.
Four employees of Passport office arrested
(Siasat News): The sleuths of Central Crime Station (CCS) arrested four employees of passport office who were instrumental in providing fake voter ID and Ration Cards to the agents in order to obtain passports through Tatkal scheme.
It is to be recalled here that on June 4, 2011, police had arrested a gang of passports agents, as they were hands in glove with the employees of the passport office in obtaining passports through Tatkal scheme by providing fake voter ID and Ration Card. The arrested employees are J Karunakar, Subodh Kumar, N Shivram Prasad and K David.
They were produced before the court and from there, sent to jail.
Van Driver held
(Siasat News): A DCM van accidentally rammed into a small temple located on the road at Bowenpally. Police arrested the driver and booked a case against him for rash driving.
The driver, Surendra, dozed off while driving and also hit a roadside shop.
However, he had promised the local people and the police that he would get the temple rebuilt on his expenses.
