Women held for robberies
Hyderabad, August 24 (Siasat News): The Habeebnagar police arrested 2 women burglars and recovered 66 tolas of gold, 1.14 kgs of silver ornaments and Rs. 70,000 from them.
The arrested women are Chemchu Laxmi, 25 and G Renuka, 45. They robbed the houses in S R Nagar, Panjagutta and Habeebnagar, the police said.
Jeevitha threat callers get bail
Hyderabad, August 24 (Siasat News): A man who allegedly sent threat SMSes to actor Rajsekhar and his actor-turned-politician wife, Jeevitha, surrendered in Nampally court. He was later released on bail.
The Jubilee Hills police had registered a case against M Srinivas, president of Kapu Nadu Sangharshana Samithi, on the basis of complaint filed by Jeevitah on August 17 saying that a person had made threatening calls and left SMSes on her mobile phone warning her not to target actor and Praja Rajyam president Mr. K Chiranjeevi.
The caller had told her that he would arrange for manava bombs if she did not stop criticizing Mr. Chiranjeevi.
