Electricity official caught red-handed
(Siasat News): Anti-corruption Bureau has caught a high official of APCPDCL Subramanyam Swamy red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs. 27000 from a contractor who had lodged a complaint and a trap was laid to arrest him.
The official had demanded the money from the contractor Venkateshwarulu to clear the salary bill of a security guard. Further investigations are on.
Failed in X class, girl ends life
(Siasat News): A girl student consumed pesticide to end her life in Maheshwaram. According to police sources, Monika, 16, daughter of one Sri Ramulu of Maheshwaram, died late last night.
She had appeared for this year’s SSC examinations but had failed after the declaration of the results. She took the extreme step on May 17 and died late last night during the treatment.
Police has registered a case and further investigations are in progress.
Betrayal of husband, wife commits suicide
(Siasat News): A woman who was neglected by her husband, took the extreme step of ending her life by hanging. This incident occurred in Madhapur police station limits where K Padma, 35, took the extreme step.
She got married to one Karamiah 12 years ago and had two children. The family had shifted to Madhapur eight months back and both husband and wife were in good terms and used to fight a lot.
He had deserted Padma four months back and she was very upset over this. Further investigations are on.
Rapist arrested
(Siasat News): Banjara Hills police has arrested the 35-year-old accused involved in the rape case of a minor who was living in her neighbourhood.
Fololowing the complaints of the victims and her mother, police took the initiative and arrested the accused Ram Singh Naik. He has been sexually assaulting the girl since last one month.
He used to call the girl at his house, raped her and then allowed her to go with threats. This has become his schedule and he was enjoying.
However, the girl did not keep quiet and told everything to her mother. The accused is handed over to judicial custody.
