Harassed woman kills self

Hyderabad, July 22: Allegedly unable to bear harassment at the hands of her husband, a 29-year-old woman committed suicide under Hayath Nagar police station limits late on Tuesday night.

According to police, D Sarita was married to one D Jagan and the couple were residents of Kuntluru village in Hayath Nagar mandal.

Sarita took the extreme step following a flare up of the daily bickering by hanging herself from the ceiling fan late on Tuesday.

Her body was shifted to hospital for autopsy and a case registered.

Further investigations are on.

Youth visits quack for fever treatment, dies

An adverse reaction to medicines prescribed by a private medical practitioner resulted in the death of a person Mangalhat police station limits on Wednesday.

According to police, 21-year-old Bhagwan Singh, a resident of Mangalhat and a labourer  in a tiffin center, visited ‘Dr Satyanarayana’ who runs a private clinic at Ghode ki Khabar on Tuesday.

The ‘doctor’ prescribed him some medicines for his fever which resulted in giving an adverse reaction.

Bhagwan Singh was rushed to a hospital following the reaction where he died while undergoing treatment.

Police registered a case against the ‘doctor’ and are investigating his antecedents.

Bhagwan Singh’s body was handed over to his family after autopsy.

Youth dies in road mishap

An 18-year-old youth was killed in a road mishap which occurred at Lashmiguda late on Tuesday evening.

According to police, the victim was identified as J Anil Kumar.  Anil was a private employee and a resident of Begum Bazaar.

On Tuesday evening, he started from Aramgarh Junction and was moving towards Madurudevipalli in Shivrampally when a lorry smashed into the two-wheeler he was travelling on.

Police registered a case against lorry driver under section 304-A and investigations are on.
