Blast in scrap godown, 2 dead
(Siasat News): Two labours died in a blast occurred in a scrap godown situated at Subhash Nagar in Jeedimetla. As per the details, two labours Saroj and Subhash who hailed from Bihar have been busy cutting the chemical barrel.

The barrels still contained some explosive stuff that blasted during the cutting. Saroj died on the spot whereas Subhash died on the way to hospital.

Jeedimetla inspector Mr. Sudarshan said that the blast occurred during the cutting of the chemical barrel. A case has been registered and further investigations are on.

Notorious thief arrested

(Siasat News): A special crime team of Musheerabad arrested a notorious thief and recovered the stolen gold ornaments worth Rs. 16,00,000.

In the meantime, deputy commissioner of police, central zone V B Kamlasan while addressing a press conference said that it was the efforts of the additional inspector of Musheerabad Mr. Haseebullah that inter-state notorious thief Kalia Vijaysimha alias Vijju was arrested.

He said that the thief belonged to Bangalore and was involved in theft since 1992. Earlier he was arrested by Vijayawada, Vishakhapatnam and Bangalore police in connection with 31 theft cases. He was jailed for six months in 2001.

However, after the release from the jail, he again started his criminal activities and committed 17 thefts in Hyderabad limits.

He further said that that Vijju had obtained a flat on lease at Ramanthapuram and during his stay in Hyderabad, he was involved in the theft of 126 tolas gold ornaments, one and half kgs silver and two laptops.

After producing him in the court, he was sent to jail.

Illegal refueling of gas cylinders, one held

(Siasat News): The north zone team of commissioner task force has arrested a man in connection with the illegal refueling of LPG cylinders.

Police said that the accused Sarwan Kumawat, resident of Addagutta, Secunderabad, hails from Rajasthan. He used to buy cooking gas in black market cylinders by paying Rs. 1250 each.

Then he used to transfer the gas in the %-kg small cylinder and sold them. Task force team had raided the place where the refueling was done illegally and arrested Kumawat.

Police also seized 9 gas cylinders and the machinery used for refueling from his possession. Later, he was handed over to the assistant supply office of the department of civil supplies in Secunderabad.
