Ex-Gram Panchayat member arrested
(Siasat News): Shamshabad RGI police has arrested the ex-gram panchayat member in connection with a theft and handed him over to judicial custody.
According to details, A Sadananad, 39, a former gram panchayat member and BJP leader, had stolen a big cooking utensil from Tirumala Hotel situated near Shamshabad bus stand a few days back valued at Rs. 8000 and had stolen Rs. 7500 from the house of one Govardhan Reddy.
He used to take advantage of being an ex-panchayat member to impress others but of late, his trick did not click and he started thefts.
He was alleged to have involved in some other cases of theft too. RGI sub-inspector Jayaram has registered a case.
Raped minor died during pregnancy
(Siasat News): a girl who was subject to constant sexual harassment since last one year, died in the hospital. This incident occurred in Meerpet police station limits came into limelight late where a 16-year-old orphan girl Varalaxmi died.
According to police sources, the deceased was the daughter of one Narayana of Karmanghat. After the death of her father, she was staying with her mother.
However, her neighbour somehow succeeded in getting her sexual favour and used to rape her on the promise of marrying her saying that he was her lover. This resulted in her pregnancy.
When her condition deteriorated, she was brought to Petlaburj Maternity Hospital and from there, she was shifted Osmania Hospital where she died last night.
Police has registered a case and further investigations are on.
