Jewellery shop looted
Hyderabad, December 20 (Siasat News): Thieves struck at a jewellery shop in Hyderguda
Under Rajendranagar police station limits and decamped with 12 tolas gold, 12 kg silver ornaments and some cash.
The thieves entered the premises of Govind jewellers through the storeroom in the back that has rear exit door.
The door was so flimsy that it can be broken with a simple kick, as the latch is attached by drilling a hole into a single-bricked wall. The cops said. What surprised the cops was that most of the gold kept in 10 boxes, silver ornaments and some cash was still intact.
“They should have at least plastered the walls to keep them secure. We are working on clues and will nab the thieves shortly,” Shamshabad DCP Sudheer Babu said.
He added that minimum precautions were not taken. Further investigations are on.
Four held for attacks
Hyderabad, December 20 (Siasat News): Acting on a tip off, city police has taken four youths into custody for their alleged involvement in the attacks that left three persons injured in various parts of the city in the last one month.
Cops seized two bikes, four mobile phones and the weapon used in the attacks.
Brothel raided in Ameerpet
Hyderabad, December 20 (Siasat News): Hyderabad police is continuing with its raids on brothels situated in posh areas of the city.
Task force police raided one such brothel in Ameerpet and arrested two pimps and freed two girls from their clutches. As per the details, M Srinivas, resident of Yousufguda along with his associate P Srinivas, native of Vishakhapatnam, was running a brothel at Nayani apartment situated in Ameerpaet.
They brought a girl from east Godavari on promise of paying her Rs. 20,000 in ten days. This is how they were charging Rs. 2000 to 5000 from each customer.
On a tip off, the task force raided the apartment, arrested the pimps and seized Rs. 2000 cash and three mobile phones.
Wife’s reprimand led husband to suicide
Hyderabad, December 20 (Siasat News): A husband who was reprimanded by his wife for taking loans, committed suicide.
This incident occurred under Ibrahimpatnam police station limits where 35-year-old Kangiah committed suicide by consuming pesticides.
As per the sources, Kangiah had taken a loan of Rs. 60,000 and over this, his wife was very angry as she was against taking any loan from anybody.
Kangiah died last night. Police has registered a case.
Domestic dispute: Husband torches wife
Hyderabad, December 20 (Siasat News): A man who was fed up of domestic disputes and out of rage, he poured kerosene on his wife and set her ablaze. While seeing the flames, he also torched himself.
This incident occurred in the jurisdiction of Asifnagar police station where Raju, 25 and Latha, 23, died during the treatment as they were severely burnt. Raju was said to be a labourer and was living in Jhirra.
Inspector Asifnagar, Mr. Mohd. Abdul Javed said that Raju and Latha got married four years ago. He was a drunkard and used to harass Latha while he was inebriated. Police has registered a case.
