Three arrested for overstaying
(Siasat News): The south zone team of commissioner’s task force has arrested three Nigerian citizens for overstaying after their visa was expired.
In the meantime, additional deputy commissioner of police, task force Mr. Limba Reddy said that the three Nigerians were staying at Banjara Hills.
He said that they had come on a tourist and business visa but illegally staying in Hyderabad even after their visas were expired.
Two passports were also seized from their possession and they were later handed over to Banjara Hills police.
GHMC engineer caught red-handed
(Siasat News): Assistant engineer (electrical) GHMC was arrested for accepting bribe for clearing the pending bills of a contractor.
He was later presented before Principal Special Judge for SPE and ACB case, Hyderabad. His name is not yet disclosed. Further investigations are on.
Six travels buses seized
(Siasat News): six travels buses were seized at Shahpur Check post in Shamshabad under the supervision of Motor Vehicle Inspector Puroshottam.
The special team had searched several buses and out of those, six buses were found carrying the luggage in excess to the permission. Not only this, passengers were picked on the way and were allowed to travel in the bus by standing.
Two buses belonged to SVR travels, two buses belonged SRL travels and one each belonged to National travels and Meghna travels and cases were registered against them.
Auto hit boy, dies
(Siasat News): A 10-year-old boy died when he was hit by an autorickshaw. According to Saifabad police, the deceased Anji, resident of NBT Nagar, Banjara Hills, was hit by an autorickshaw at Saifabad where he sustained severe i8njuries.
He was admitted to a local hospital where doctors declared him dead. Police Saifabad has registered a case against the auto driver.
Fall from III floor proved fatal
(Siasat News): A construction labour accidentally fell down from the third floor of a building during his work and died.
Alwal police said that the deceased E Venkanna, 33, was a mason by profession. He was working in a building situated at Arjun Nagar.
During the work, he lost his balance and fell down from the third floor of the building. He had sustained head injuries and died during the course of shifting to the hospital.
