Betting on cricket, one arrested
Hyderabad, January 19 (Siasat News): The east zone team of commissioner task force has arrested a bookie who was accepting bets on cricket league matches and seized cash, TV set, mobile phone and other materials used in the betting.
According to the details, one Kunal Jain of Malakpet, is a salt trader and runs his company as Paras Marketing. He earns approximately Rs. 7000 per month.
However, he has been facing rough weather for quite some time and to earn easy bucks, he started accepting betting on twenty-20 cricket matches to be started in Australia.
He was accepting the money in Essamia Bazar’s Sri Narayan enterprises. When the task force came to know about this, Jain’s place was raided and Rs. 30,000 cash, TV set, mobile phone and other relevant materials were seized.
He has been handed over to Kachiguda police station for further action.
Murder for just Rs. 400
Hyderabad, January 19 (Siasat News): Asifnagar police has arrested three persons allegedly involved in a murder case.
It is to be recalled here that Santosh, 23, was murdered on the night of January 14 and police has arrested M. Srinivas, 22, Balraj, 30 and D Babu, 32, in this connection.
After the arrest, Srinivas disclosed that the murder was committed for just Rs. 400, as the deceased Santosh owed Rs. 400 to Srinivas.
As he did not re-pay the money, Srinivas took the extreme step of eliminating Santosh with the help of his two other arrested friends.
Gambling in school compound
Hyderabad, January 19 (Siasat News): Task force has arrested six persons for running a gambling den in a school compound and seized cash and playing cards.
As per the details, Md. Hameed, an electrician and resident of Ghas Mandi, Monda Market, was a small time contactor and was somehow earning his livelihood.
When he was financially down, he decided to earn the money illegally and started a gambling den in the school concourse with the help of his other associates.
Task force said that as soon as the information leaked, the said concourse was raided and Hameed along with his other five associates was arrested.
Police recovered Rs. 21000 from their possession and handed them over to Monda Market police station.
