Gang of women thieves nabbed
(Siasat News): A gang of three women involved in various thefts in crowded RTC buses was nabbed by Gopalapuram police. They used to pick handbags, gold ornaments and vanities of the women travelers in the crowded buses.
According to the details, the three culprits Ganga, Yuroppa and Suman used to operate in Secunderabad area where they used to board the crowded buses as passengers and commit the crime.
Police said that choosing crowded bus and diverting the attention of the targeted passenger was their modus operandi. The moment they committed the crime, they immediately left the place.
Police has seized five gold chains from their possession amounting to Rs. 2,80,000. Further investigations are in progress.
Shanti Nagar club raided, 12 arrested
(Siasat News): Police Humayun Nagar raided shanty Nagar club and arrested 12 persons involved in gambling including a CID inspector.
The West zone team with the help of Humayun Nagar police had raided the said club late last night and the arrested persons include CID inspector Purnachandra Rao.
A sum of Rs. 64000 is also seized from the spot. Inspector Humayun Nagar Mr. Bhiksham Reddy has registered a case.
Murder convict injured in attack
(Siasat News): Panic gripped Chandrayangutta area in Barkas when a murder convict was attacked by the relatives of the slain person.
Inspector Chandrayangutta Mr. Srinivas said that the convict No. 1 of the Ahmed Sultan murder case Yousuf Bavazir was attacked with a knife opposite the gate of CRPF by the brother-in-laws of the slain person when he was passing on his bike.
Bavazir was severely injured as the wounds were mostly on the backside of his body. He was immediately shifted to the nearby hospital where his condition is said to be stable.
Further investigations are on.
35 jailed for drunken driving
(Siasat News): As many as 35 persons were handed jail terms by local courts for drunken driving.
Metropolitan Magistrate B C Naidu handed jail terms of five days each to five persons, while 27 others were sentenced to three-day jail term.
Metropolitan Magistrate Shiva Shankar Prasad sent three persons for three days each.
