Corporator’s husband held
Hyderabad, June 18 (Siasat News): Narsimha Reddy, husband of K Latha, Mansoorabad corporator, was on Friday arrested by the Saroornagar police for allegedly attacking the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Circle-III office in the locality a few weeks ago.
Meanwhile, the Kukatpally police arrested TDP corporator, M Bhanu Prasad and 12 others for attacking a former corporator.
Police personnel commit suicide
Hyderabad, June 18 (Siasat News): R. Srinivas Rao, 40, a constable and resident of Venkateshwara Nagar Colony in Sainathpuram, who was promoted as head constable just two months ago, committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan at his residence on Friday.
He is said to have been dejected after his superiors reprimanded him after a thief escaped from his custody.
However, denying the report, the police said the cause of the death is yet to be ascertained.
Man dies after consumption of acid
Hyderabad, June 18 (Siasat News): A drunkard who under the influence of alcohol, consumed acid as he mistook it as water and died during the treatment in hospital.
This incident occurred in the jurisdiction of Alwal police station. Police said that K V Satynarayana, 37, was working as painter and was always found under the influence of alcohol.
Yesterday, he reached home and consumed liquor. As he was fully intoxicated, he consumed acid by mistake taking it as water.
He was immediately shifted to the hospital but could not survive. Police has registered a case and further investigations are on.
