Officer caught red-handed
(Siasat News): An executive officer was caught red-handed by ACB officials while accepting the bribe of Rs. 10,000 from a person for doing an official favour.

M Veerabhadriah, 46, executive officer at Kallakal Gram Panchayat in Toopran district, was caught in his office while accepting the bribe.

Chemical test conducted on fingers of both hands of the officer and the paper in which the tainted currency was kept yielded positive results. Further investigations are on.

Kidnap attempt foiled

(Siasat News): A 35-year-old mentally imbalanced beggar tried to kidnap a three-year-old boy Karim, who was playing in front of his house at Chandragirinagar in Jeedimetla police station limits.

Locals chased the beggar, rescued the boy and thrashed the kidnapper. Later, they handed him over to police. Further investigations are in progress.

Man dies in mishap in Uppal

(Siasat News): A 32-year-old man Mahesh, from Warangal district died on the spot when a speedy JCB knocked him down at the Uppal junction while he was crossing the road.

Police shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital and took the JCB driver into custody.

City bus rams Begumpet flyover

(Siasat News): Ten passengers were mildly injured when a city bus rammed the flyover at Begumpet. According to the police, a Metro Express that was proceeding to Patancheru from Secunderabad rammed the flyover parapet wall

The windowpanes and roof of the bus were damaged completely. Police shifted the injured persons to a nearby hospital.

The accident occurred as the driver lost the control over steering. The Begumpet traffic police took the driver into custody and booked him for negligent driving.
