Two Muslim youths attacked in Begum Bazar
(Siasat News): Unidentified miscreants attacked two Muslim youths in Begum Bazar last night and severely injured them. This incident sent shock waves in the locality.
Sayeed and Yawar Ali are the residents of Yakutpura. They were chased by some unidentified miscreants on motorbikes. Police is trying to hush-hush up this matter. The complaint was lodged late last night.
Strangely enough, the man who was in the police station to register such cases termed this incident as ordinary whereas both the Muslim youths sustained severe injuries and were admitted in the hospital.
A constable said that the news of this attack is baseless.
Man drinks acid, dies
(Siasat News): An alcoholic who was under the influence of alcohol, drank acid thinking it as water and died.
This incident occurred in Malkajgiri police station limits where R Narsimha, 32, died after consuming acid. Resident of Warsiguda, Narsimha was a labour.
On the night of February 15, he was in high spirits and after reaching home, wanted to drink water.
As the intoxication was high, he could not distinguish the water bottle, which actually contained acid.
He was immediately shifted to hospital and died during the treatment. Police is further investigating.
Parent’s reprimand led to suicide
(Siasat News): A young girl committed suicide when she was reprimanded by her parents. This incident occurred in S R Nagar police station limits where 17-year-old Thakur Shivani, student of intermediate, set herself ablaze and died in the hospital during the treatment.
She was the daughter of Thakur Santosh Singh. According to sources, on the night of February 15, she was found having detailed talks on phone and for this, her parents had reprimanded her.
Shivani became very upset and took the extreme step. Police has registered a case and further investigations are on.
