Ornaments stolen from temple
Hyderabad, January 18 (Siasat News): Some unidentified robbers stole gold and silver ornaments from a temple situated in Kukatpally Housing Board phase-III.
The robbers broke open the lock of the Vasavi Parmeshwari temple and decamped with 15 kilos silver and 2 tolas gold. According to police sources, this heist took place despite the presence of the watchman but he was sleeping at that time.
Following a complaint by chairman of the temple committee Mr. Kumar Swamy, police has registered a case and further investigations are on.
Two die in suicide and burning accident
Hyderabad, January 18 (Siasat News): Two persons died in two different incidents occurred in Narsingi and Jeedimetla police station limits.
According to Jeedimetla police, A Manohar, 35, an auto driver, had committed suicide by setting himself ablaze. He was immediately shifted to the hospital but died during the treatment.
He was said to be a mental patient and not keeping well since last two years. In the second incident, which occurred in Narsingi, 45-year-old Md. Raheem, died after he sustained burn injuries.
He was a lorry driver and was residing in Gandipet area. He had sustained burn injuries last month while cooking.
He was under treatment but succumbed to his injuries last night. Police has registered a case and investigations are on.
Auto driver flees with gold, arrested
Hyderabad, January 18 (Siasat News): The Jubilee Hills police arrested an autorickshaw driver who had kept a bag containing 80 tolas gold that was left behind by a passenger by mistake.
The driver was living a lavish life in Mahboobnagar district using the gold, According to the cops, they got a complaint on November 12, 2011, from a Singapore based couple that they had forgotten to take the bag when they got off the vehicle.
The driver Ratiavath Ramesh Naik noticed that the couple forgot the bag and found that it contained gold. He cleared his debts and started living lavishly.
He was caught while trying to sell the stolen jewellery.
