Housewife injured in attack by husband
Hyderabad, February 18 (Siasat News): A housewife was severely injured after her husband attacked her with an axe at their house at Hayathnagar.
35-year-old Aruna is the wife of Shankar who used to operate a truck earlier. The couple is residents of Banda Ravirala in Hayathnagar and they have four children. According to police, Shankar sold away the truck recently even after his wife objected to it and since then the couple was on the loggerheads.
Today also, the couple had a heated argument over the same issue and Shankar attacked his wife with an axe. At the time of the attack, the couple’s children were not there in the house.
Local and other family members shifted Aruna to Gandhi hospital where her condition is critical. Police arrested Shankar.
Cops held for extortion
Hyderabad, February 18 (Siasat News): Three constables attached with S R Nagar police were suspended for allegedly collecting money from flesh trade organizers in the police station limits.
After getting complaints that three constables Ramaiah, Krishna and Ratnam were demanding money from organizers of prostitution dens, an inquiry was conducted and the trio was suspended.
Dead body fished out
Hyderabad, February 18 (Siasat News): Police Ramgopalpet has fished out the dead body of an unidentified Muslim man from Hussain Sagar.
The body of the 50-year-old man was shifted to Gandhi hospital mortuary and further investigations are on.
Man held for possessing fake passport
Hyderabad, February 18 (Siasat News): Immigration officials at Rajiv Gandhi International airport has arrested a man for traveling on a fake passport and handed him over to Shamshabad RGI police.
According to the police, N T Hassnar, 39, native of Kerala and gone to Dubai from Mumbai in 2007 and was doing a job there. However, when he wanted to come back to India, his employer did not allow him and refused to hand over his passport.
Hassnar, then, contacted an agent and paid him 4000 dirhams and got a new passport in the name of Pradeep Kumar.
He reached India by an Emirates flight but he was arrested by immigration staff.
