Advocate arrested for harassment

(Siasat News): The ‘SHE’ team which was formed after the formation of new Telangana State for the protection of the women had arrested an advocate in compliance with Nirbhay Act.

In the meantime, Additional Commissioner Police (Crimes) Smt. Swathi Lakra said that the advocate M Abhishek, 38, resident of Barkatpura had attended a function of IIFA conducted at Gachibowli along with his friend. At the function he came across with a girl from Delhi.

Abhishek and his friend presented themselves as media persons in front of the girl and tried to prolong the conversation. However, the girl did not show any interest. An enraged Abhishek managed to get the business card of the said girl and later started sending messages to her mobile phone.

The girl did not reciprocate. Here, Abhishek started sending obscene messages to the girl. It was now the turn of the girl to get panicked. She informed her other friends about the messages and they threatened Abhishek on the phone and asked him to discontinue the messages.

The girl lodged a complaint with ‘SHE’ team. A case was registered in compliance with Nirbhay Act and IT Act and Abhishek was arrested and produced in the court.

Blast in scrap godown, one dead

(Siasat News): A deafening blast took place at a scrap godown in Narsingi where a person died and another sustained severe injuries.

This incident occurred when scrap was being cleaned as there was presence of various chemicals, the blast might have taken place.

High officials of police and forensic experts immediately reached the spot. The deceased is identified as one Vijay Kumar, 48 whereas the injured was identified as one Ramulu.

They were arranging the boxes in the godown when the blast took place. Police is trying to ascertain whether or not the godown was working with the legal permission with required precautionary measures.

Man fell down from electric pole, dies

(Siasat News): A contract labour fell down from an electric pole during the work that proved fatal.

According to Banjara Hills police, the deceased Mohd. Sajid, 30, resident of Hakimpet, has been working with electrical department as a contract labour.

Two days back, he was working on an electric pole when he had accidentally lost his balance and had fallen on the ground. Sajid was severely injured and was taken to a hospital where he died last night during the treatment.

Banjara Hills police has registered a case and further investigations are on.
