Student attempted suicide over reprimand
(Siasat News): A student who was trying to woo a girl residing in his neighbourhood and was reprimanded by his parents, attempted suicide.
However, the police came on time and prevented him from committing suicide who wanted to end his life by jumping in Hussain Sagar. According to Lake Police sources, Karthik, 20, was in love with his neighbor since last one year.
However, his parents were the biggest hindrance in his love life. In fact, they came to know about his love affair just two days ago. They forced him to severe all the contacts with the girl and stop taking to her.
A dejected Karthik, student of II year degree attempted suicide but the timely action of the lake police saved a precious life.
After counseling by Lake Police, he was later allowed to go with his parents.
Marijuana smugglers racket busted
(Siasat News): Police today unearthed an inter-state marijuana smugglers racket and arrested three persons involved in selling the stuff near Secunderabad railway station and 80 kgs marijuana also seized from their possession.
On a tip-off the officials of Commissioner Task Force, South Zone and Central Crime Station arrested Rakesh Varma, Ravi Kumar and Mohd. Ibrahim belonged to New Delhi, Vishakhapatnam and Warangal respectively.
