GHMC man held for taking bribe

Hyderabad, July 17 (Siasat News): A junior assistant in the GHMC was caught red handed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials while accepting a bribe of Rs. 1500.

The accused has been identified as K Jagannadham. He allegedly took bribe from one Rajesh Umbedkar to hand over the Mutation Proceedings of the property purchased by Rajesh in the name of his mother.

10-member gang held

Hyderabad, July 17 (Siasat News): City police on Friday arrested ten members of two gangs involved in the automobile thefts and property offences in the city.

They have recovered property worth Rs. 25 lakh from their possession.

The loot included one kilogram gold, silver and electronic items apart from two wheelers.

Student ends life

Hyderabad, July 17 (Siasat News); An MBA student hanged himself in his house in Tappachabutra, late on Thursday, a day before his semester II exams.

The victim Uday Kiran, 23, a resident of Tallagadda was studying MBA I Year at a private college in the city.

The police did not find any suicide note.

Woman dies during cooking

Hyderabad, July 17 (Siasat News): A 28-year-old woman J Geetha sustained burn injuries during the cooking and succumbed to her injuries during the treatment in the hospital.

According to Jeedimetla police, J Geetha, wife of one Siddhu and resident of Vinayak Nagar was busy cooking in her house and accidentally got burnt.

Police has registered a case under IPC 174 (suspicious death) and started the investigations.
