Spurious liquor seized

Hyderabad, November 17 (Siasat News): The excise officials stopped a DCM and seized spurious liquor worth Rs. 16 lakh.

The officers also seized stickers of whisky brands Officer’s Choice and Bagpiper and a Tata Indica car. Five persons have been taken into custody in this connection.

Further investigations are on.

Youth attacked b y unidentified men

Hyderabad, November 17 (Siasat News): An 18-year-old upcoming athlete Avinash was attacked by unidentified men at Reti Bowli two days back.

He was on his way to L B stadium on his bike when he was hit on the head with an iron rod by unidentified persons. After the treatment, he approached Langarhouz police.

Though it is suspected the attack is the part of the spree of ‘communal’ attacks going on in the city. Police denied the same.

Gambling den unearthed

Hyderabad, November 17 (Siasat News): Dabeerpura police raided a house in Chanchalguda and nabbed 10 persons indulging in gambling. Mirchowk ACP M Kistaiah said that the gambling den is run by a person Imtiaz Ali Khan of Chanchalguda.

On a tip off, police raided the house and caught Imtiaz Ali Khan and nine others red-handed. Police also seized playing cards and Rs. 7850 from their possession.
