Youths involved in gang rape, arrested
(Siasat News): Saifabad police has arrested three youths involved in gang rape and handed them to judicial custody.
Their names are Sami, Salman and Moin and they reside in A C guards and Saleem Nagar, Chintal Basthi. On the night of May 9, they had gang raped a 19-year-old girl who had come to the city in search of a job.
According to the sources of Saifabad police, the said girl who was the native of Karimnagar, was waiting for a train at Lakdi-ka-pul.
In the meantime, one of the accused had snatched her bag and ran away. Later, two other accused came to her and said that they would find out the culprit and her bag would be returned to her.
They took her to an under construction building at Masab Tank where the first accused was already there and raped her one by one. Further investigations are on.
Delay in marriage led to suicide
(Siasat News): A man who was very upset over the delay in his marriage, took the extreme step of suicide by hanging.
This incident occurred in Madhapur police station limits where Hanumanth Kumar, 28, took the extreme step at his residence situated in Farhath Nagar.
He left a suicide note in which he had mentioned that due to the delay in his marriage, he was ending his life. He was about to marry a girl from Madhapur and their engagement was already solemnized.
In the meantime, the father of the girl found himself in financial crisis and had extended the date of the marriage. Police has registered a case and further investigations are on.
Dead body recovered from pond
(Siasat News): Rajendranagar police has recovered a dead body from a pond situated in the locality. It was identified as one T Naresh, 24.
It is said that Naresh had gone to the pond along with his friends yesterday and was accidentally drowned.
According to police, the deceased was deaf and dumb. A case has been registered and further investigations are on.
