Husband kills wife
Hyderabad, December 15 (Siasat News): A man strangulated his wife to death at Bachi Reddy colony of Shamashabad.
According to RGI police, Renuka, 23, was married to one Mahesh some six years ago. They have a 4-year-old daughter Radhika.
However, both husband and wife had quarreled yesterday and in a fit of rage, Mahesh strangulated Renuka to death.
In order to mislead the police, he hanged the dead body with a sari posing it a suicide case. But his daughter revealed to the police that her father himself was responsible for her mother’s killing.
RGI sub-inspector Mr. Kashi Vishwanath registered a case and arrested Mahesh.
Professor arrested
Hyderabad, December 15 (Siasat News): Osmania University police has arrested an “EFLU’ professor for making sexual advances towards a Ph.D student.
According to police, Mr. Rajat Kumar Mohanty of Cuttack who is a guest faculty in English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU). Yesterday evening, he allegedly called the girl student to his guesthouse room on the pretext of exchanging some views on the subject and tried to make sexual advances and molested her.
When the girl raised objections, he immediately tendered an apologise. Some times later, he again tried to do the same thing and this time, the girl didn’t remain silent and revealed the happenings to her parents.
Later, a written complaint was lodged with Osmania University Police and this is how the professor was arrested. Further investigations are on.
Failed love affair led to suicide
Hyderabad, December 15 (Siasat News): An engineering student committed suicide by hanging himself at Kachiguda following in failure in love.
According to the police, Vashisht Gavalkar, 19, a BTech II year student of Chappal Bazar in Kachiguda, fell in love with a girl.
The girl, who moved with him for some time, was avoiding Vashisht for the past few days making him depressed with her changed behaviour.
When he could not bear her ignorance, he took the extreme step. A case has been registered and further investigations are on.
