Girl ends life over marriage issue
(Siasat News): A girl who was very upset over the denial of her parents to get married with a man of her choice. This incident occurred in Saroornagar police station limits where Sapna, 28 hanged herself to death.
She was the daughter of one Koteshwar Rao, a programme executive in a private TV channel. Sapna was interested in a man and wanted to marry him whereas her parents opposed her choice and wanted to get her married with a man of their choice.
This had turned Sapna very gloomy and she took the extreme step last night. Further investigations are on.
Two electrocuted to death
(Siasat News): Two persons including a minor, electrocuted to death in two different incidents occurred in L B Nagar and Raidurgam police station limits.
According to L B Nagar police, 3-year-old Elukundalu who was playing near his house came accidentally into contact of live wire and had sustained severe burn injuries. He died in the hospital during the treatment.
In the second incident, Raidurgam police said that Sudhakar, 39, a labour and the resident of Sherlingampally, came into contact of live wire in his house yesterday afternoon. He was also shifted to the hospital where he died last night.
Police is further investigating both the cases.
Another dowry death
(Siasat News): A woman who was under constant pressure from her in-laws for more dowry, took the extreme step of ending her life.
As per the details, Jyotsna, 24, was the wife of one Prabhakar, resident of Venkatgiri Hills, was pressurized for more dowry after three months of her marriage to Prabhakar.
Her parents were not in a position to meet the demands of her in-laws. Upset over this, she hanged herself to death. Police has registered a case and further investigations are in progress.
Case of negligence against electricity officials
(Siasat News): Madannapet police has registered a case of negligence against the electricity officials after the protest of the people as one N Raghuvendra Rao had died when an electric pole collapsed on him and he was electrocuted to death.
His relatives staged a protest after his death. Police sources said that the deceased was passing from the area on September 15 when an electric pole accidentally uprooted and fell on him.
Further investigations are on.
