Cash stolen from temple
(Siasat News): Mutyalamma temple situated in Amberpet, witnessed another case of theft. Police sources said that unidentified thieves entered the temple premises by breaking open the locks and made their escape good by stealing Rs. 10,000 from the Hundi.
It is further said that six months back, some thieves had entered the premises of the same temple and had stolen gold ornaments of the idols.
Amberpet police has registered a case and further investigations are on.
Bag stolen from the car
(Siasat News): Some unidentified robbers broke open the window of a car and stole the hand bag kept inside it that belonged to one IAS officer.
Banjara Hills police said that Mr. R Subramanyam, principal secretary, rural development, had reached the K B R park for morning walk.
However, when he returned to his car, he found the glasses of the rear widow broken and the hand bag was missing.
He immediately lodged a complaint with Banjara Hills police saying that his bag carried credit and debit cards, vehicle documents and cash.
The investigation is going on.
Cigarettes worth 1.25 lakh seized
(Siasat News): Custom officials seized cigarettes cartons worth Rs. 1.25 lakh from a passenger.
As per the details, the passenger Hanif, native of Kerala, reached Rajiv Gandhi International airport from Dubai.
During the custom checking, the officials found substantial number of branded cigarettes packet and sized them.
However, no action was taken against Hanif and he was asked to leave the airport.
Kidnap attempt foiled, one arrested
(Siasat News): L B Nagar police has arrested a man when he was trying to kidnap the children playing outside their homes.
As per the details, the two children of Balaswamy and Nagmani, Jyotsna, 7 and Jagdish, 4 were playing outside their homes in Nagole.
In the meantime, one Lingiah, tried to kidnap them by wooing them with chocolate. The children started screaming and the locals gathered there and caught Lingiah. They handed him over to L B Nagar police station.
Balaswamy hails from Mahboobnagar and had come to Hyderabad a few years back in search of job. He has been working as a watchman in a marble shop in Nagole. Investigations are in progress.
