Housewife raped by family friend
(Siasat News): A 30-year-old housewife was sexually assaulted by her family friend at the victim’s house when she was alone.
The incident took place at Chintalkunta in Rajendranagar police station limits. As per the details, Venkatesh, 50, resident of Chintalkunta and tenant opf the woman’s father-in-law’s house, had borrowed Rs. 500 from the woman’s husband a few days ago.
However, to return the money, he went into the house. On finding the woman alone, he bolted the door from inside and assaulted her sexually, when neighbours heard the woman screaming, rushed to her rescue and broke open the door.
Meanwhile, Venkatesh ran away. A case has been registered and a hunt is on for absconding Venkatesh.
Woman arrested for gold theft
(Siasat News): The Chaderghat police has arrested a woman in connection with snatching and theft cases.
The accused is Shagufta Sultana who confessed to her crimes during the interrogation. The police recovered stolen gold ornaments amounting to Rs. 5.6 lakh from her.
She told the police that she committed the crime to pay back the debt of Rs. 25000 which she had borrowed to help a friend eight years ago.
Shagufta stole the gold ornaments from her mother-in-law’s house and disposed them. Further investigations are on.
Fake CD dealer arrested
(Siasat News): A CD center was raided in Shamshabad by the sleuths of APFCC. The CD center was situated near Shamashabad bus stand where the fake CDs of Telugu films were sold.
100 CDs are seized and the owner of the center is arrested and was handed over to RGI police.
The owner is at present in the custody of the RGI police where a case has been registered against him and further investigations are on.
