Kidnapper IT student arrested
(Siasat News): An IT student was arrested by Begumpet police who lured a teenager girl through Social Networking Website Facebook and had made false promises of marrying her.
As per the details, one Narsing Rao, 20, befriended a girl through Facebook and promised to marry her. Not only this, he also asked her to borne the expenses of marriage by taking her gold ornaments.
Later, he kidnapped her and demanded ransom of Rs. 50,000 from her parents and they had paid Rs. 10,000 but not before lodging a police complaint in Begumpet police station. Police took precautions and arrested him
Two Sudanese arrested
(Siasat News)) The West zone team of task force has arrested two Sudanese citizens from the old city near Shahran Hotel when they were trying to sell fake US$.
As per the details, Badruddin, 24, resident of Al-Hasnat colony, Toli chowki and Mustafa Abdul Raheem Ibrahim, resident of Madannapet, actually hailed from Sudan but had been living in Hyderabad for quite some time.
Badruddin is a cloth, shoes and perfume trader. He had received 20 currency notes in denomination of 100US$ from his friend in Sudan and with the help of his friend, tried to sell the same fake currency notes near Shaharan Market.
Police seized 20 fake currency notes, passport and mobile phones from their possession and were handed over to Mirchowk police.
Wife ends life over husband’s harassment
(Siasat News): A woman who was constantly harassed by her husband for more dowry, ended her life.
Police sources said that the deceased Swapana, 21, was the wife of one Venkanna of Ghatkesar. She had taken the extreme step and hanged herself to death last night. Police further said that both of them got married in April 2012.
At the time of marriage, her parents had given her appropriate dowry, cash and other household items.
However, the woman was pregnant and her husband had started suspecting her fidelity and used to harass her. When the harassment became unbearable, she ended her life.
Further investigations are on.
