Extortionist arrested

(Siasat News): A notorious conman was arrested by Musheerabad police who was involved in extorting money from doctors by threatening them.

It is said that Mohd. Sajid, 39, resident of Asifnagar, Jhirra, was a lorry driver. However, as he was not earning enough money, he started to earn them by adopting criminal ways by duping the doctors.

Police said about his modus operandi that he used to go through with the signboards put by various hospital and clinics and after noting down the mobile numbers from the signboards, he used to contact the doctors posing himself as a patient.

After some time he would phone the doctors again but this time it was a complaint saying that after undergoing the treatment of the doctor, his health got worsened. He then would say that he was a police inspector and the matter could be settled if doctor gave him money.

He was arrested for the very first time in 2013 by Tappachabutra police and he again committed crimes in Humayun Nagar, Chilkalguda, Jagatgirigutta, Asifnagar and Mushaeerabad police station limits where he threatened the doctors and extorted money.

After producing him at the Nampally Criminal court, he was hifted to the jail.

Man dies in road accident

(Siasat News): A motorcyclist died in a road accident occurred in Moinabad.

It is said that Jangaiah, 45, was from Moinabad area on his bike when another speeding bike coming from opposite direction rammed into his bike, killing him on the spot.

Police has registered a case and the dead body was shifted to Osmania Hospital mortuary.

Factory owners arrested for hiring child labours

(Siasat News): Bhavani Nagar police has arrested two persons running a bangle manufacturing unit for hiring child labours.

It is said that Mohd. Aftab Khan, 41, resident of Nasheman Nagar and 35-year-old Mohd. Nalyar Alam, both hail from Bihar, has been running a bangle manufacturing unit by hiring children from Bihar.

South Zone police with the co-operation of Department of Labour and other NGOs raided the units and set free 17 children from the clutches of the factory owners.

A case has been registered against the duo and later they were arrested.


Man’s suspicious death

(Siasat News0: The dead body of a man was found from Kulsumpura police quarters in suspicious circumstances.

It is said that 40-year-old Prabhakar, resident of Falaknuma, had reached Kulsumpura to meet his relatives in the morning.

However, his dead body was found at 4 pm lying behind the police quarters in suspicious circumstances with scars of wounds on his body.

In the meantime, people of the locality immediately called the police. The dead body was shifted to Osmania Hospital for post mortem and a case of suspicious death was registered.
