Suicide bid by woman

Hyderabad, May 10 (Siasat News): A woman tried to kill herself when she was not allowed to meet the chief minister. She was immediately rushed to the hospital where her condition is said to be out of danger.

According to the police, Yashoda, 24, a native of Karimnagar, wanted to meet the chief minister as she had come with the sole purpose of meeting him to get justice.

As the security guards were not allowing him to meet the CM for quite sometime, she was so disgusted yesterday that she consumed pesticide to kill herself but she was rescued on time. Further investigations are on.

Film actor Ravi Teja’s father arrested

Hyderabad, May 10 (Siasat News): Mahankali police had raided a gambling den yesterday and arrested 46 gamblers including the father of famous Telugu film actor Ravi Teja’s father Raja Gopal. However police Mahankali has not confirmed this.

It is to be recalled here that recently Ravi Teja’s two brothers were arrested in connection with drug trafficking and now the arrest of his father has sent shock waves in the city and film fraternity. Police said that Golden Club which was operational in Ranigunj, was closed down years back but of late, it was being run illegally.

Acting on a tip off, police raided the club and arrested the persons who were instrumental in running it illegally Kondal Reddy and Changal Reddy along with another 44 gamblers and seized Rs. 40,000 and 46 cellphones from their possession.

They are likely to be produced in the court tomorrow.

45 tolas gold stolen

Hyderabad, May 10 (Siasat News): An incident of the theft of 45 tolas gold took place at Panjagutta. The robbers broke open the house and gained entry as no one was there in the house.

Police said that the house was belonged to a woman Malathi who is said to be a district medical and health officer of Warangal district. Her house at Anandnagar was locked as her daughter had left the house to attend her coaching class.

During this hour, the robbers broke open the lock of the house and stole 45 tolas gold. Police Panjagutta has registered a case and further investigations are on.
