Passengers held with gold
(Siasat News): The custom officials at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad arrested a passenger with 800 grams gold. The accused had arrived from Dubai.
During the custom check, 800 grams gold was found in his luggage. He was arrested and further grilling is going on.
Another passenger with 2.9 kilo gold was also arrested as custom officials found him in possession of the gold for which he could not give a satisfactory reply. Cases have been registered and further investigations are on.
Man dies in road accident
(Siasat News): A man was fatally hit by a vehicle at Madanpally in Shamshabad. As per the details, the deceased N Srinivas, 29, was the sales representative of Andhra Jyoti newspaper.
Yesterday, he was driving his car when an unknown car severely hit him from behind and killing him on the spot. Shamshabad rural police has registered a case and further investigations are underway.
Notorious thief arrested
(Siasat News): Jubilee hills police has arrested a notorious thief involved in theft at various temples in Hyderabad and Secunderabad and seized gold ornaments valued at Rs. 5 lakh from his possession.
In the meantime, Dy. Commissioner of police, west zone, Mr. A Venkateshwar Rao said that the accused E Ram, 48, resident of Chaitanyapuri had committed thefts in 35 temples in Dilsukhnagar, Hyderabad and Cyberabad limits.
He used to disguise as a disciple of the deity and after diverting the attention of the priest, used to steal gold ornaments from the idols. He was sent to jail many times but he was succeeded in getting bail and then again start his evil deeds.
Police has recovered the stolen items and handed him over to judicial custody.
