Six convicted for fund misuse
Hyderabad, February 9 (Siasat News): The special court for CBI cases, convicted six persons including the then SARPAD project director, National Remote Sensing Agency, K J Hebbar and deputy project director P Madhusudan Rao for misappropriating lakhs of rupees.
While the former faces two-year-rigorous imprisonment beside a fine of Rs. 7000, the latter was sentenced three-year-rigorous imprisonment with fine of Rs. 2000.
Fire at Railway Station
Hyderabad, February 9 (Siasat News): a minor fire broke out in the announcement room at the Secunderabad Railway station on Tuesday.
Police said that the fire occurred due to the short circuit.
According to the Secunderabad Railway police, the employees working in the announcement room on the platform No.1 noticed the fire and using a hand-led fire extinguisher doused the flames within minutes.
No one was injured in the mishap.
