ACB raids RTO

Hyderabad, May 05 (Siasat News): In a surprise raid, the ACB officials seized Rs. 1,30,000 from the Malakpet RTO. According to the official sources, the ACB raided the RTO at 1.45 pm following a tip-off.

Woman ends life in police station

Hyderabad, May 05 (Siasat News): A 22-year-old pregnant woman committed suicide on the premises of the Madugula police station after her lover refused to marry her. She also blamed the police for not registering the case against him.

Sources said D Lakshmi Devi was having an affair with one Mr. Pilli Bhimuni Naidu for the past six years. Mr. Naidu allegedly had promised to marry her and had got intimate with her.

On three earlier occasions, Lakshmi Devi had medically terminated her pregnancy. However, after she became pregnant for the fourth time, she insisted that Naidu should marry her at any cost this time but he started avoiding her claiming that his parents were opposed to the alliance.

Meanwhile, Naidu’s marriage was fixed with another woman. Disappointed Lakshmi Devi lodged a police complaint on April 29. The assistant sub-inspector, Mr. L Tatabbai, told her that he would try to convince Naidu to marry her.

The young woman started going to the police station every day. On Wednesday, she pressurized the cops after which Mr. Naidu and his parents were summoned to the police station but they turned down the marriage proposal.

Lakshmi Devi consumed the pesticide she brought with her. The cops took her to a private hospital where she was declared dead on arrival. The police has registered a case and arrested Naidu and his parents.
