Man promising wonder cure held

Hyderabad, March 2 (Siasat News): A man who claimed to possess spiritual powers and the ability to cure ailments was arrested by Dabeerpura police for extorting more than Rs. 56,000.

The accused Mir Lutfe Ali Hassan or the ‘Aamil’ (black magician) convinced one Ghulam Nomani that his wife, brother and sister-in-law were under the influence of evil spirits and promised to cure them within three days.

Police said that the Aamil took Rs. 28000 initially and then Rs. 5110 later. When Nomani demanded his money back as Aamil did no wonder, Hassan Ali threatened him of dire consequences.

Following the complaint of Nomani, police arrested Hassan under section 420. Further investigations are on.

Kidnapped realtor traced

Hyderabad, March 2 (Siasat News): A 45-year-old realtor Prasad was allegedly kidnapped by his friend from his residence at Chaitanyapuri.

Police said that the realtor’s friend had come to his residence to recover Rs. 2 lakh, which was owed to him.

After sometime, the friend took the realtor to an advocate in his car. Later, the realtor called his wife Padmavathi and asked her to approach the police saying that he was kidnapped by his friend. Police was informed and the realtor was traced.
