Lady professor ends life

Hyderabad, June 01 (Siasat News): Assistant professor of a engineering college allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself fr5om a ceiling fan at her residence in Alwal.

According to Alwal police, K Vidyavathi, 26, an assistant professor, found hanging from the ceiling fan at her residence on Monday night. According to the details, she fell in love with one Satya Sai and they got married two years ago.

The couple, who were residing at Balajinagar at Alwal after their marriage, has a 14-month-old son. While Satya Sai works for a BPO, Vidyavathi was working with Malla Reddy College of engineering, Medchal.

She reportedly committed suicide when her husband was not at home. When Satya Sai returned home, he found his wife hanging and the son was crying in the room. He immediately informed the police. Police said that the deceased had left a suicide note behind in which she did not blame anyone for her death.

However, Vidyavathi’s father lodged a complaint with Alwal police alleging that his daughter committed suicide due to the harassment by her husband. Further investigations are on.

Five arrested for murder

Hyderabad, June 01 (Siasat News): A history sheeter and four of his associates were arrested on Tuesday in connection with the murder of a pickpocket.

The pickpocket Salam, was murdered by the accused over a dispute between two gangs. The arrested include Mohd. Ilyas and his associates Rashid Bin Abdullah, Syed Zulfikar Hussain, Md. Naveed and Thakur Subhash Singh.

According to police, Ilyas and others approached Naveed, who earlier worked with one of the gangs called Fayaz gang. The arrested wanted to pull the Fayyaz gang members onto their side.

Naveed took them to Salam, who gave them the information about the other gang. However, the gang planned to kill him as they suspected that he was passing on information about them to Fayyaz.

They allegedly confined Salam in a room to get out information about Fayyaz gang from him. Later, they took him near Mohammed Nagar railway tracks and attacked him with daggers and baseball bat leading to his instant death.

Man attacks sister for money

Hyderabad, June 01 (Siasat News): A woman was attacked by her brother in L B Nagar on Tuesday, as she refused to give him money for liquor.

According to police, the victim M  Shobha, 23, visited her mother at NTR Nagar. While she was having a chat with her mother, her brother Siddulu came there and asked Shobha for money to buy alcohol.

She refused to give him money and advised his brother to give up drinking and look for a job to earn his livelihood.

Enraged by this unwanted advice, Siddulu picked up a stone and hit Shobha on the head. He also attacked her with a knife, injuring her.

According to reports, locals thrashed Siddulu for attacking his sister. Further investigations are on.
