Currency smuggler held
Hyderabad, May 19 (Siasat News): Police on Monday arrested an absconding accused involved in smuggling Indian currency printed in Pakistan via Bangladesh-west Bengal border.
Police seized Indian fake currency notes worth Rs. 1.97 lakh from his possession. The accused was identified as Ambothula Nagaraju, 32, a native of Khammam.
Bid to sell deer skin foiled
Hyderabad, May 19 (Siasat News): Commissioner Task force west zone has arrested G Yadgiri of Uppuguda possessing the deer skin.
34-year-old Yadgiri is a welder by profession. Two months ago he had met one Sai, 30 of Vidyanagar. Sai told him that he had a deer skin which he wanted to sell for Rs, 1,00,000.
In order to get a good customer, Sai handed over the skin to Yadgiri.
When the Task force got this information, it set a trap for Yadgiri and ultimately arrested him near D S Garden ring road, Langar Houz and handed him over to the concerned police station.
Self style crime reporter arrested
Hyderabad, May 19 (Siasat News): Task force has arrested a man who used to pose as a crime reporter and was involved in extortion by sending threatening calls to the junior artists.
According to the details, B N Suryababu, 41, resident of Chintal Basthi, Khairtabad had worked as an assistant cameraman in Chennai in the past.
Later, he shifted his base to Hyderabad and was associated with many organizations and at last, he opened his own freelance media service.
The task force sleuths arrested him from Erragadda, opposite Gokul cinema when he was trying to get money from junior artists.
2 mobile phones, Rs. 4000 cash and 2 fake I cards of press were seized from his possession.
Husband’s harassment led to suicide
Hyderabad, May 19 (Siasat News): A woman committed suicide due to harassment and beating by her husband.
Wife of Feroz, a resident of Mangalhaat, Fouzia, 21, poured kersosene and set herself ablaze. She was immediately shifted to the hospital where she succumbed to the burn injuries.
According to inspector H Venkatiah, Feroz was working in a beef shop and used to harass his wife to bring more dowry.
They have two children. When Fouzia could not bear the harassment any more, she took the extreme step.
Police has registered a case and investigations are on.
Suspicious death of a woman
Hyderabad, May 19 (Siasat News): A woman was burnt in suspicious circumstances in the jurisdiction of L B Nagar police station.
According to the police, 45-year-old Narsamma, who was a vegetable seller, sustained burn injuries while cooking food.
Wife of one Yadiah of Bai Ramuluguda, she was immediately shifted to the hospital where she died during the treatment.
