Rowdysheeter arrested
Hyderabad, May 12 (Siasat News): Task force (west zone) team has arrested a notorious rowdy sheeter Mohd. Chand under the Mangalhaat police station and seized a motorbike and a sword from his possession.
According to the details, Chand alias Builder Chand, resident of New Kishan Nagar, Jhirra, was arrested by the Task force team from Royal Sea Hotel situated at Asifnagar.
At that time he was holding a sword. According to the Task force, Chand was wanted in 21 cases including 4 murder cases, 5 attempted murders and 2 robbery cases.
He has also four non-bailable warrants in pending in Rajendranagar and Asifnagar police stations.
It was also disclosed that Chand was an extortionist and used to take money from traders by threatening them with toy weapons. Task force has handed over Chand to Asifnagar police station.
Betting on cricket, 2 arrested
Hyderabad, May 12 (Siasat News): Commissioner Task Force (north zone) had raided a lodge in Secunderabad and arrested two bookies who were allegedly involved in betting on crocket matches.
Rs. 30,000 cash, two cell phones and a laptop was also seized from their possession. According to the details, K Ratnakar Reddy, resident of Secunderabad, along with his accomplice P Srinivas Goud, was involved in betting on cricket matches.
Both were said to be childhood friends. They had actually started real estate business and but it did not flourish. As they had no other option, they started betting on cricket matches as of late, this business was very much on the card.
They were running their betting business very cleverly as they used to change their place of activity with the help of mobiles and email to avoid police arrest.
Acting on a tip off, sleuths of north zone task force team raided room No. 303 of Times Square Lodge in Secunderabad and arrested both of them.
They admitted that they were involved in betting and accepting the money during the T20 match between Pakistan and South Africa. Both of them were handed over to Market police station.
