Youth involved in thefts arrested

Hyderabad, May 01 (Siasat News): Cyberabad police has arrested a youth who was involved in 250 cases of thefts. Police laid down a trap to nab the thief Maruti when he was trying to sell the stolen ornaments 20 tolas gold was seized from his possession. He was said to be a sharp thief and whatever item he liked, he used to steal them.

In the meantime, ACP Balanagar Mr. Sudhir said that Maruti hailed from Narayankhed and was involved in theft cases since last 15 years. Just 22, he has been involved in theft cases right from his childhood. He was released from jail in January 2010. After a long hiatus, he once again started his stealing ‘business’.

According to ACP he was wanted by 13 police station limits. He was sentenced to jail twice. Cyberabad police took a sigh of relief, as Maruti had become a headache not only for police but also for the people. Further investigations are on.

Two incidents of chain snatching

Hyderabad, May 01 (Siasat News): The robbers made their escape good with 4 tolas of gold in two different incidents of chain snatching.

In both the cases, the robbers were riding the motorcycle. In Panjagutta police station limits, the students of law college Srija and Vimla were attacked with blade and the robbers fled with Srija’s one and half tola gold chain. Following the complaint of Srija, a case was registered.

Srija sustained minor injuries too. In the second incident, 56-year-old Yadamma of Toil Choke, who was sitting near a temple feeding her grand daughter. She said in her complaint to Golconda police that two unidentified persons on a bike came to her and immediately snatched the gold chain from her neck.

Before she could raise the alarm, they fled. Police is investigating.
