Credit card cloning gang busted

New Delhi, June 21: A gang which allegedly cheated several persons by cloning their credit cards was busted in the national capital and three of its members including two jewellers were arrested, police said today.

Kamal, Bobby Verma and Vijay Soni were picked from various locations in the capital and several cloned debit and credit cards of different banks and one card swipe machine were recovered from them, they said, adding they were planning to target foreigners during the upcoming Commonwealth games.

Two other gang members, identified as Vipin and Zahid, are absconding.

“The gang had planned to collect data of international cards during the forthcoming Commonwealth Games to make their clones,” a senior police officer claimed.
