Hyderabad, May 4: The sleuths of Commissioner’s Task force (North Zone) have arrested 3 persons on charges of buying and selling through cloning of credit card.
It is said that the chief of the gang Samiullah Shareef alias Niaz Ahmed hailing from Bangalore met with Abdur Rahman resident of Ramanthapur, Tamil Naidu who was currently residing in Bangalore. After some days Abdur Rahmam went to Malaysia and started a hotel business there. Meanwhile Malaysia police arrested Abdur Rahman in a hotel dispute and he returned to India and stayed in Chennai. 3 months after he shifted to Bangalore. Abdur Rahman met D Laxmi Narayan of Secunderabad who hailed from Ananthapur and did computer business.
Samiullah Shareef run a shop at Hong Kong bazaar at Banglore he frequently used to visit Chennai in connection with his business. There he met Rubeen and Habeeb Rahman.
Rubeen and Samiullah started preparing cloned credit cards and thereby purchasing goods.
Police seized an electronic data capture machine (EDC), LCD monitors, mobile phones and other items from their possession.
