Over 100 buses were challaned today for permit violations as part of a drive following the brutal rape of a girl in a moving bus last Sunday. Twenty three buses were also impounded during the drive. “The enforcement team has challaned 103 buses today,” officials said. Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde had yesterday announced that a drive will be launched to ensure removal of tinted glasses and curtains from buses and against permit violations. PTI
