CPM national general secretary Seetharam Yechury has stated that the State party would take a decision on whether to work with Janasena or not.
Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, Yechury said severe drought conditions prevailed across South India and 200 farmers committed suicides in Tamil Nadu State alone. Yechury alleged that some 16,000 farmers committed suicide in the last three years. He said 60 percent of the people were not getting ration due to the problems of the Adhaar Card. Responding to a question, Yechury said his party opposed EVMs in 2009 only. (NSS)
