CPM central panel meet in Vijayawada from August

Vijayawada, August 03: The CPM central committee meeting would be held in Vijayawada from August 7-10 to discuss the current political situation, according to party politbureau member and state secretary BV Raghavulu. Decisions would be taken on the future action plan of the party, he added.

Speaking to reporters today he said, several issues including Kashmir crisis , increasing corruption, liberalisation, foreign investments in banks and educational institutions would be discussed in the meeting.

The CPM leaders expressed concern over the state government’s proposal of distributing rations once in six months under the pubmic distribution system. Common man would be put into great inconviniency with this move, he said.

The government did not feel it necessary taking the view of other political parties while proposing the new system in the food advisory committee meeting held recently, he alleged. The CPI (M) leaders Y Venkateswara Rao, Ch Babu Rao, R Raghu, D Kasinath and others were present.
