Begusarai (Bihar), October 15: A Communist Party of India member was today killed when a motorcycle on which she was riding a pillion met with an accident in Begusarai town, police said.
The accident occurred when Subhashini Sharma, a national council member of CPI was returning home after attending a party function at Bihat, DSP (Sadar) Vivekanand said.
Sharma (61), also general secretary of Bihar Women’s Society, fell down from the bike when it skidded and suffered severe head injuries.
The retired school teacher, was rushed to a nearby Barauni refinery hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.
