CPI(ML) New Democracy demands division of Khammam & Adilabad districts

CPI(ML) New Democracy has demanded that the State government divide Khammam and Adilabad districts.

 

Speaking to the media here on Thursday, New Democracy leaders Sadineni Venkateshwara Rao, K Govardhan, K Achyutharamarao, M Srinivas and Sandhya asked the state government to create five districts from Adilabad to Bhadhrachalam, which was in scheduled area. They said the districts should be created on the basis of public needs and not to benefit the real estate businessmen or political leaders. They said the State government has to consider the 1/70 Act, Pesa Act, 2006 Tribal Rights Act and take the schedule areas as one unit and divide them to five districts. The government has to consider not only schedule area and tribal area, it has to consider population, geographical history, backwardness and governance.

 

The leaders also asked the government not to distribute the Illendu constituency into three districts and keep it in one district. They asked the government to divide Khammam district as three districts—Khammam including the mandals named Khammam Urban, MV Palem, Kusumanchi, Nelakondapally, Konijerla, Chinthakani, Waira, Thallada, Kalluru, Penuballi, Sathupalli, Vemsuru, Madhira, Bonakal, Errupalem, Mudigonda, Raghunathapalem with 3722 square kilometers with 12.69 lakh population. Bhadrchalam district –Bhadrachalam, Dummugudem, Charla, Venkatapuram, Vajedu, Pinapaka, Karakagudem, Manuguru, Ashwapuram, Burgampadu, Ashwaraopet, Dammapet, Mulakalapalli with 4244.96 square kilometers with 6.17 lakh population.

Kothagudem district—Chandrugondu, Enkuru, Julurupad, Tekulapally, Gundala, Allapally, Illandu, Illandu Urban, Bayyaram, Garla, Singareni, Kamepalli, Palwancha, Palwancha Urban with 4186.47 square kilometers area with 7.07lakh population. The New Democracy leaders have said that the new districts in Khammam were bigger than Yadadri (2956 square kilometers), Jagithyal (3087 square kilometers), Sangareddy (3116 square kilometers), Mahabubabad (3633 square kilometers) and on par with Medak, Siddipet, Suryapet, Karimnagar and Khammam district.

The leaders also demanded the government to divide Warangal district as three districts. Mulugu district– Mulugu, Govindaraopet, Thadwai, Eturunagaram, Mangapet, Mulugu Ghanapur, Venkatapuram, Kothaguda, Gudur, Khanapuram, Nallabelli, Bhupalapalli, Regonda, Chityala, Mogullapalli, Shayampet, Kataram (Karimnagar), Mahamutharam (Karimnagar), Mahadevpur (Karimnagar). Mahabubabad district—Mahabubabad, Korivi, Dornakal, Narsimhulupet, Maripeda, Nellikuduru, Thorruru, Palakurthi, Kodakandla, Rayaparthi, Kesamudram, Nekkonda, Mahabubabad Rural, Inugurthi, Chinnaguduru.

Warangal to continued as district

The leaders demanded the government to divide Adilabad district as three districts. Adivasi district to be created as Adilabad town as headquarter, another Adivasi district as Asifabad (Komuram Bheem) as headquarter. The government has to create Nirmal as another district. The government, which was dividing Mahabubnagar (18392 square kilometers), Nalgonda (14210 square kilometers), Medak (9843 square kilometers), Warangal (12210 square kilometers), has to divide the Adilabad 916160 square kilometers) and Khammam (13132 square kilometers) as three districts each.
