CPI(M) served notice on proposed march

Kochi, November 13: Police today served notice to CPI(M) stating that functioning of the High Court should not be affected while organising the proposed march towards the High Court tomorrow, protesting against the court verdict punishing their leader M V Jayarajan in a contempt of course case. This is an normal procedure letter to the political party, as they have to abide certain rules and regulations while conducting marches to the High Court, City Police Commissioner, who issued the notice to the CPI(M) state secretary and the Eranakaulm District Committee Secretary, told UNI. The Commissioner said since the CPI(M) had not disclosed what kind of protest they were organising before the High Court, this was a normal letter to the party that the functioning of the high court should not be effected any way and they would have to follow High Court s directions in this regard. However, District Committee Secretary of the CPI(M) told that they were not going to obstruct the functioning of the court and the judges.
